Free talk by Professor Mark Tully on ageing, held at the Balmoral Hotel in Dunmurry as part of Belfast City Council's Positive Ageing Month.
Professor Mark Tully is speaking at the Balmoral Hotel in Dunmurry on Thursday 29 October, with the talk titled Age is just a number. It's a session focused on age, and Tully will be the main feature of the evening.
The talk is part of Positive Ageing Month, a programme of free events and activities run by Belfast City Council throughout October. The whole month is aimed at older adults, and the council frames Belfast as an 'age-friendly city' committed to helping older residents live happier, healthier lives with plenty of opportunities for connection. They coordinate the programme with Age-Friendly partners, so it's a city-wide effort rather than a one-off.
If you're looking for more than just a talk, the rest of the month covers a fair bit of ground. The full programme ranges from wellness and fitness, arts and crafts, talks and tours, music and dance, social get-togethers and film screenings to digital and tech support. Tully's session is one of the talks on that list, so there's plenty else running alongside it if you fancy filling out your October.
