A popular Tuesday evening outdoor fitness session featuring yoga, Pilates and HIIT classes, with a live DJ, cold plunges and vendors.
The YTX Summer Sunset Series is back at Republic Square on Tuesday, August 18, and it's a local Austin favorite for a reason. It's an open-air yoga session held in the middle of the park, and this year marks its 10th anniversary. The series gives away free yoga, Pilates, and HIIT classes presented by Bloom, so you can pick the pace that works for you whether you're there to stretch out or get your heart rate up.
It's not just about the workout, though. Each session is rounded out with a live DJ or musician, cold plunges, vendors, and raffles, all held together by a community atmosphere. The cold plunge is a particular draw for those who like to shock their system after a session, and the live music keeps the energy moving while you're on your mat. It's the kind of thing that feels more like a neighborhood gathering than a fitness class.
If you've never been, the setup is straightforward: the classes are free, and you're asked to bring a mat, a water bottle, and a friend. It's a Tuesday evening, so it's an easy way to break up the work week without spending a dime. The whole thing takes place at Republic Square on Guadalupe Street, right in the heart of downtown.
