Concert by the USBM band Wolves in the Throne Room, supported by Spirit Possession, at the Come and Take It Live venue.
Wolves in the Throne Room play Come and Take It Live on Wednesday, February 3, with Spirit Possession opening. The Olympia, Washington band is often called the 'Kings of USBM,' and this is their first Austin date since their last record came out.
They're touring Estuary, which dropped on October 23, 2026. The album is set a thousand years after the end of civilization, in a world where post-apocalyptic religion takes shape among mutant creatures and open portals. It's rawer and more volatile than their previous work, driven by massive percussion and seething gothic guitars. That's the record they'll be drawing from for the set.
At the helm are Kody Keyworth, Aaron Weaver, Nathan Weaver, and Galen Baudhuin. They've been playing together for years, and Estuary marks a shift in sound—more percussion-heavy and jagged than what they've done before. Spirit Possession opens the night, so there are two acts on the bill.
