Concert by the queer punk band Babe Haven, supported by Spaced and Scarlet Demore, at the Come and Take It Live venue.
Babe Haven play Come and Take It Live on Sunday, December 6, with Spaced and Scarlet Demore opening. The show starts at 8 PM at Bldg 4, 2015 E Riverside Dr, Austin, TX 78741.
Babe Haven is a queer punk band formed in Boone, North Carolina, by Lillie Della Penna and Naomi Poesel. They're known for pairing a riot grrrl attitude with a nu-metal edge, and they describe their songs as anthems of empowerment and resistance aimed at uplifting femme, queer and BIPOC voices. That nu-metal side comes through on their sophomore album, Nuisance, which blends nu-metal, thrash and punk.
They've shared stages with Mannequin Pussy, Otoboke Beaver, Soft Play, Teen Mortgage, Pinkshift and Pollyanna, and have played festivals like L7's Fast and Frightening Takeover, Punk Rock Bowling and Jorts Fest. The Austin date puts them in the same room as Spaced and Scarlet Demore, who open the bill.
