An interactive wellness workshop for teenagers aged 13-18, led by Herizon Health, focusing on healthy habits and self-care through games and activities.
Herizon Health is hosting a teen wellness workshop called The Wellness Reset at the Austin Central Library on Sunday, August 30. It runs from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM in Teen Central on the third floor, at 710 West Cesar Chavez St.
The session is built around healthy habits, self-care, and everyday wellness strategies for teenagers. It's designed to help young people find their footing as they head back into a demanding school schedule, and the format leans on games rather than a lecture. There are chances to win prizes throughout, and snacks are provided. It's open only to teens aged 13 and over.
Herizon Health is a local nonprofit led by teens, with a focus on boosting healthcare know-how among women. Because the organization is run by young people themselves, the workshop is tailored to a teen audience rather than being a program designed for them from the outside. That comes through in the approach: the focus is on interactive activities and games instead of sitting through a presentation.
