Pre-game tailgate party with live music, live game viewing, and a full bar on the Meredith Heritage Tree Deck.
Waterloo Gameday returns to the Meredith Heritage Tree Deck on Saturday, October 31, from 3 PM to 7 PM, built around the Texas Longhorns taking on the Mississippi State Bulldogs. It's a pre-game tailgate party hosted by the Waterloo Greenway Conservancy, and the whole thing sits inside Waterloo Park in the heart of downtown Austin.
If you haven't spent much time there, the deck is part of The Confluence, which is home to the largest downtown tree canopy project in Austin's history—thousands of native Texas trees. It's also where the annual monarch butterfly migration tagging happens, so it's a bit more than just a patch of grass in the city. On the day, the party has a full bar with happy-hour prices, live music, a live broadcast of the game, and outdoor games to keep you busy while you wait for kickoff.
Every week we pick 🏆 the 5 best 🏆 things to do in Austin and send them to your inbox. Just one weekly email, no spam.

It's free to the public, so you can just show up and hang out. If you want to step it up, a $25 advance ticket gets you two bar drinks, coffee, and breakfast. Between the live game, the music, and the drinks, it's a full afternoon in the park before the game even starts.
