Wagoneers are playing Broken Spoke on Friday, July 31, with Monte Warden and El Camino Band. It's a full night of music that starts early and runs late, so you can make a whole evening of it.
El Camino Band kicks things off from 6 to 8 PM, billed as a dinner and show set. After that, Wagoneers take over with Monte Warden starting at 9 PM, and that's the dancehall part of the night.
Broken Spoke has been around since 1964, when James M. White opened it, and it calls itself the 'Last of the True Texas Dancehalls.' It's a live music venue that doubles as a dance hall, and it keeps the two-step tradition alive with lessons running Wednesday through Saturday from 8 to 9 PM.
