A nighttime market for unique vendors, spooky treasures, oddities, art, collectibles, vintage finds and things that are just plain cool, with live music and an emcee.
The Vampire Yard Sale returns to Kick Butt Coffee on Saturday, July 25, from 8 PM to midnight. It's billed as a flea market for creatures of the night, and the name isn't just for show: this is a nighttime market for unique vendors, spooky treasures, oddities, art, collectibles, vintage finds, and things that are just plain cool, with no daytime equivalent. It's framed as an evening alternative to the traditional morning yard sale, which Austin Chronicle writer Sarah Andrews notes is usually picked over by 9 AM and gone by noon. Here, the shopping starts when the sun goes down.
Between the tables, there's a full bill of live music. Trench Sweeper, Buzz N Bangs, The Belgraves, and Beergnomies all play throughout the night, so you can drift between the vendors and the stage. The whole thing is hosted by Von Clownpire, who emcees the evening and keeps the energy moving. If you can't make it in person, the night is live-streamed on Facebook and YouTube.
