The largest sale of recorded music in the USA, featuring hundreds of dealers selling vinyl, CDs, posters and music memorabilia across 40,000 square feet.
The Fall 2026 Austin Record Convention takes over the Palmer Events Center from Friday, October 23, through Sunday, October 25. It's a three-day stretch, and you'll probably want to clear a good chunk of your weekend for itβthe show is so big it takes most of the weekend to see everything.
It's the largest sale of recorded music in the USA, and the scale is easy to picture: hundreds of dealers from across the U.S. and Europe spread more than one million 78s, 45s, LPs, CDs, cassettes, posters, collectibles, and music-related memorabilia across 40,000 square feet of floor space. The stock runs from 1930s 78s through CDs and even a few 8-track tapes, so it doesn't matter if you're hunting for a specific rare press or just browsing for something that catches your ear.
The convention has run as a music marketplace since 1981, dealing in vinyl albums, records, CDs, and posters. Because it's a dealer-driven show, you're digging through bins and talking to the people who brought the records, not browsing a curated store shelf. There's also a text-to-search system that lets you text what you're looking for straight to a dealer's mobile phone, which is a handy way to track down a specific title without walking every single row.
