Unknown Trivia is a weekly fixture at the Barton Springs Saloon, and it's happening this Monday, October 12, from 7 PM to 9 PM. It's a free night, so you can just show up with a team and play without paying a cover.

The night is hosted by Alden Schaub, who hails from Traverse City, Michigan, and has made the trivia a regular part of the saloon's weekly calendar. If you come out on top, the winners walk away with $10, $25, or $35 in Sweet Salt Saloon bucks, which you can spend right there at the venue. It's a low-stakes way to spend a Monday evening—free to play, with a little something to win if your team knows their stuff.

The venue itself is the Barton Springs Saloon, located at 424 South Lamar in the South Lamar neighborhood, often called the 'Oh-Four.' It opened in May 2006 'on a wing and a prayer' and has since become one of the most popular local hangouts in the area, trading seven days a week from 4 PM to 2 AM. If you're coming from across town, it's easy enough to find on South Lamar, and since they're open all day and late into the night, you can make a whole evening of it—grab a drink and some food before the trivia kicks off at 7 PM, and stay for a few more rounds afterward.
