Uncle Roy & Spice

Uncle Roy & Spice play C-Boy's Heart & Soul Bar on Wednesday, August 5. They're a vocal duo from Washington, DC, and this is their night on the South Congress lounge's bill.

They're a new act, and the way they describe their sound gives you a good sense of what to listen for: vocal intricacies, harmonies, storytelling, and a range of diverse musical styles. When you're dealing with a duo that leads with their voices, the harmonies and the storytelling are usually the whole point, so that's where the focus will be. It's the kind of set that asks you to lean in and follow the lyrics.

C-Boy's is a lounge on South Congress that books music seven days a week, and it was introduced by The Continental Club's Steve Wertheimer. It's a spot that keeps a steady rotation of live music going throughout the week, so this fits right into the regular flow of things there.

Uncle Roy & Spice take the stage at 10 PM, and the night is 21+ only. Tickets are $10.
