It's one of those spots that's a bit off the beaten path, but it's held its own as a South Austin icon for over four decades.
At the center of this particular bill is Alice Spencer, an Austin vocalist known for a soulful voice and a wide range. She's spent decades working across jazz, blues, Western swing, soul, and Americana, and that versatility is a good shorthand for what she brings to the stage. When she's not fronting Twisted Swingers, she's the voice of the Seth James Band, and her sets usually pull from both timeless classics and original songs, backed by some of the city's finest players.
