Live acoustic music session at the Speakeasy venue in the Warehouse District, a relaxed midweek wind-down series.
Tuesdays Unplugged is the midweek wind-down at Speakeasy, 412 Congress Ave, in downtown Austin. It's a live acoustic music series that runs on Tuesday nights, billed as a way to chill out and enjoy laid-back tunes in a relaxed, intimate setting. The project is supported in part by the City of Austin Economic Development Department.
Speakeasy itself is a locally owned bar and nightclub in the Warehouse District that's been operating since 1997. It stages live music, special events, and private parties alongside a regular weekly program: Open Mic Monday, The Spazmatics every Wednesday, a 90s night every Friday, and a Sing Along Saturday. The venue has thrown a New Year's Eve party every year since it opened.
Tuesdays Unplugged fits right into that rotation, trading the dance floor for acoustic sets. It's the kind of night that works well when you're not looking for a full-blown concert—just some live music to ease into the rest of the week. The series typically runs from 8 PM to midnight, so you can drop in for a drink and a few songs or settle in for the whole evening.
