A midweek chill night featuring live acoustic music by local singer-songwriters in a relaxed, intimate setting.
Tuesdays Unplugged is a weekly acoustic night at Speakeasy, 412 Congress Ave in downtown Austin. It runs every Tuesday from 8 PM to midnight, with a local singer-songwriter taking the stage each week. The whole thing is built around live acoustic music in a relaxed, intimate setting, and it's supported in part by the City of Austin Economic Development Department.
Speakeasy is a locally owned bar and nightclub in the Warehouse District that's been open since 1997. It does more than just the weekly fixtures; it programs live music, special events, private parties, and cocktails throughout the week. Tuesdays Unplugged is one of those regulars, alongside Open Mic Mondays and a 90s night every Friday.
Because it's a weekly series, the singer-songwriter changes from Tuesday to Tuesday, so you'll hear a different local artist each time you drop in. It's a midweek wind-down rather than a big production, and the acoustic format keeps things on the quieter side. If you're looking for a low-key way to spend a Tuesday night in the city, this is a good place to start.
