Tisha Campbell is playing Cap City Comedy Club on Saturday, October 17, at 7 PM. If you recognize the name but can't quite place it, you probably know her from My Wife and Kids, where she played Kimmy opposite Damon Wayans, or Martin, where she played Gina. Those two roles earned her a NAACP Image Award for Best Actress in a Comedy Series and a BET Comedy Award.
That's just the start of her career, though. She's been working since she was three years old and has spent five decades singing, acting, directing, producing, and writing. More recently, she starred alongside George and Mayan Lopez on NBC's Lopez Versus Lopez and opposite Neil Patrick Harris on Showtime's Uncoupled. She's also done voice work for the animated series Good Times and the Netflix sitcom Act Your Age.

There are a few things to keep in mind before you head out. The show is in an 18+ room, and general admission seating is first-come, first-served, so if you want a good spot, you'll want to get there early. There's a balcony on the second floor that isn't wheelchair accessible, and reserved seats are assigned by management on the night. There's also a two-item minimum per person in the showroom, so come prepared to order a couple of drinks or snacks while you're there. The club is at 11506 Century Oaks Terrace Unit 100 in Austin.
