The Red Room at Cap City: Hannah Jones

Hannah Jones plays The Red Room at Cap City Comedy Club on Thursday, October 22, at 8 PM. She's a Brooklyn-based stand-up who grew up homeschooled in a conservative, religious co-op, and she's built her act around irreverent takes on sex, dating, and gender politics—the kind of material that's as original as it is deeply uncomfortable for her mother to hear.

If you've come across her online, you're not alone. She's a regular on Woman About The Internet, and her videos on TikTok and Instagram have racked up over 40 million views. Her work has been featured on Netflix Is a Joke Radio and Don't Tell Secret Sets, written about in Denverite and Westword, and covered on Channel 7 News. She's opened for Josh Gondelman, Atsuko Okatsuka, Todd Barry, and Kumail Nanjiani, and is a regular at Denver Comedy Works, where she's hosted for Ari Shaffir, Dave Attell, and Aziz Ansari.

On the practical side, Cap City is an 18+ venue. The showroom enforces a two-item per person minimum of any food or drink, and all sales are final. The show is at The Red Room, 8120 Research Blvd. #100, Austin, TX, starting at 8 PM on Thursday, October 22.
