An imaginative stage adaptation of C.S. Lewis' classic tale, directed by Sara Burke, with a lobby magic show.
Zach Theatre brings The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe to the Whisenhunt Stage starting Friday, October 16. It's a stage adaptation of C.S. Lewis' classic tale, directed by Sara Burke, and it runs through Sunday, February 14, 2027. The production transports you to Narnia, a frozen world of magic, adventure and Turkish delight, where the four Pevensie siblings journey to defeat the White Witch and break her curse.
What makes this one a bit different from a standard cast is the scale: just two actors bring to life the four Pevensie children, the noble lion Aslan, the White Witch and an entire kingdom locked in winter. The production leans into theatrical magic and illusion, and there's a lobby magic show to go with it. The whole thing is built around the idea of shining your light and radiating kindness until the darkness melts away.
The run is long, so you've got plenty of options to fit it in. Performances are Friday nights from 7 to 8 PM; Saturdays at 2 PM, with some dates adding an 11 AM show and others shifting to 5 PM; and Sundays at 1 PM, with some dates also adding an 11 AM show. It's the kind of schedule that works whether you're looking for a weekend afternoon with the kids or a night out.
