A heartwarming stage adaptation of Charles Schulz's classic Peanuts comic strip, following Charlie Brown's search for the true meaning of Christmas.
A Charlie Brown Christmas returns to the Zach Theatre this holiday season, running from November 6 through December 27, 2026. It's a stage adaptation of Charles Schulz's classic, written by Eric Schaeffer and set to Vince Guaraldi's jazz score, which is probably the first thing that comes to mind when you think of the Peanuts at Christmas. The show follows Charlie Brown as he searches for the true meaning of the holiday, with Snoopy, Linus, and the rest of the gang along for the ride. It's known for its playful choreography, the familiar tunes, and that timeless Peanuts humor that works just as well on stage as it does on the page.
This isn't a new addition to the Zach's holiday lineup. It's coming back after a sold-out run last season, so if you missed it then, this is your second chance. The production is recommended for ages 5 and up, which makes it an easy one to bring the kids to, though it's just as much for the adults who grew up with these characters. The whole thing runs about 40 minutes with no intermission, so it's a quick, focused trip through the storyβin and out in under an hour, which is a plus when you're juggling a busy December.
