The Jazz Room: A Frank Sinatra & Louis Armstrong Tribute

The Jazz Room brings a tribute to Frank Sinatra and Louis Armstrong to Antone's on Sunday, August 16. It's a live band reimagining the songbooks of two of the most influential musicians of all time, played in an intimate setting.

Sinatra and Armstrong are hard to put in the same sentence—one the definitive voice of the Great American Songbook, the other the trumpet player who helped shape jazz itself—but that's exactly what this show does. The band pulls from both, so you'll hear the crooning side of the era alongside the trumpet-led swing that Armstrong made his own. The whole thing is played by a live band rather than a recording, and the intimate setting keeps it close to the music.

There are two shows that afternoon: one at 4 PM and another at 6 PM, each running an hour. If you're coming with a group, it's worth keeping in mind that the show is for ages 18 and up.
