The Front Festival returns to The LINE Austin from August 27 to August 30, 2026, marking its 10th anniversary. The festival brings together independent music, film, and art over four days, with every piece of programming made by women and LGBTQ+ artists in Texas.
Things kick off on August 27 with an Opening Night Swim at The LINE Austin, featuring a poolside set by DJ Ed West and lobby art by Future Front, with work from Seth Prestwood, OPAL Rugs, Dave McClinton, Angy Che, and Sophia Gonzalez. On August 28, the focus shifts to music at Swan Dive for Independent Music Night, which opens with conversations and panels before sets by DJ Majesty, Babi Doll, and LYNN. August 29 is Independent Film Night at Laguna Gloria, where a panel and a performance lead into a screening of 12 independent films by women and LGBTQ+ directors and filmmakers in Texas. The festival closes on August 30 back at The LINE Austin with the Official Daytime Pool (After) Party, featuring poolside sets by Future Front Resident DJs and Riobamba.

The whole thing is built around independent film, music, pool parties, and art, all from women and LGBTQ+ artists in Texas. It's a good way to see a cross-section of the city's independent scene in one go, from the poolside sets and gallery work to the panels and the film screenings.
