The Drag Queen Game Show

The Drag Queen Game Show is at The Highball tonight, Tuesday, October 13. It's a weekly drag experience built around interactive games, drag performances, and prizes, with each show running about two hours. If you've never been, the whole thing is built on you getting involved rather than just watching from a seat.

The show has two Austin homes. Tuesday nights are at The Highball Lounge, a room that was once a real retro bowling alley and is now one of the city's swankiest secrets, all Vegas vibes and cozy red booths. Saturday nights move to Barrel O' Fun in the Mueller neighborhood, a circus-themed bar the venue describes as Austin's most Instagrammable, complete with vintage carnival-ride seats and distorted mirrors.

Running the night are drag queens Mars and Celia Light, who the venue bills as the self-acclaimed 'Steve Harvey of Drag.' They're the ones keeping the games moving and the energy up across the two hours. Between the performances and the games, there are prizes in the mix, so you're playing for something rather than just playing for the sake of it.

Tuesday nights at The Highball run from 8 PM to 10 PM, and the show is free. If you can't make it tonight, the Saturday show at Barrel O' Fun runs from 7 PM to 9 PM.
