An interactive drag queen game show mixing retro TV game show formats with a drag twist, featuring audience participation and prizes.
The Drag Queen Game Show is a regular at The Highball in Austin, where it runs every Tuesday from 8 PM to 10 PM. It's a two-hour show that takes retro TV game shows and gives them a drag twist, working through a rotating lineup of games like 'Right on the Money,' 'Florida or False,' 'Musical Bingo,' and 'Couples Therapy.' There are prizes and plenty of audience participation along the way, so you're not just watching from the sidelines.
The show is run by Extragrams, a company that started out sending personalized drag queen performances to people celebrating special occasions and has since grown into a live production with three locations: The Highball at Alamo Drafthouse South Lamar, Barrel O' Fun at Alamo Drafthouse Mueller, and Video Vortex at Alamo Drafthouse Los Angeles. If you're in Austin, you've got two spots to choose from. The Highball is a former retro bowling alley with Vegas vibes and cozy red booths, while the Saturday home at Barrel O' Fun leans into the circus, with vintage carnival ride seats and distorted mirrors.

Because it's a rotating lineup, the games change from night to night, so you can drop in more than once without seeing the same set twice. It's 21+, and seating is first come, first served, so if you want a good spot, you'll want to get there a bit early. The show is free, and it runs every Tuesday from 8 PM to 10 PM at The Highball, with a Saturday night option from 7 PM to 9 PM over at Barrel O' Fun.
