The Drag Queen Game Show

The Drag Queen Game Show is back at The Highball this Tuesday, August 11, from 8 PM to 10 PM. It's a weekly thing, so if you can't make this one, the next show is Tuesday, September 1. Doors open at 7 PM, and the whole thing is 21+.

It's an interactive drag comedy and game night that calls itself "the draggiest game show around," and the pitch is pretty literal: the audience is the entertainment. The format takes its cues from retro TV game shows but gives them a draggy, sassy twist, with three new games every week. Some of the ones that have become staples are Right on the Money, Florida or False, Boobie Bingo, and Couples Therapy, alongside a Wheel of Extra that keeps things unpredictable. If you're feeling brave, you can volunteer to play on stage; if not, you can just watch from your table and laugh at the people who did.

The night is hosted by comedy queens Celia Light and Mars and produced by Extragrams. It's staged in the Highball Lounge inside Alamo Drafthouse S. Lamar, which means you can order from the full Alamo Drafthouse menu of dinner, cocktails, beer, and wine brought right to your seat. There are prizes up for grabs, too, like free movie passes and food.
