A drag queen game show mixing retro TV game shows with drag performances, hosted by Mars and Celia Light.
The Drag Queen Game Show is at The Highball every Tuesday night, from 8 PM to 10 PM. It's a free show, 21 and up, and it does exactly what the name says: it takes the format of old-school TV game shows and gives them a drag makeover. The two-hour set mixes drag performances with a rotating lineup of games, and there's plenty of audience participation, so you're not just watching from the sidelines.
Mars and Celia Light host the night, and they've got a few regulars in the rotation: Right on the Money, Florida or False, Musical Bingo, and Couples Therapy. The venue calls them the "Steve Harvey of Drag," and the whole thing is built around that same game-show energyโfast-paced, a little chaotic, and designed to get the room involved. If you're celebrating a birthday, you can have it spotlighted on the screen if you send a photo in advance.
The Highball Lounge, where the show lives on Tuesdays, was once a real retro bowling alley and still leans into that Vegas vibe with cozy red booths. It's a good spot for a bachelorette party, a birthday, or a date night. You can also make a full meal of it, with dinner and a show available from the full Alamo Drafthouse menu. Seating is first come, first served, so reservations are recommended if you want to be sure you have a spot.

If Tuesday doesn't work for you, the show also runs on Saturdays at Barrel O' Fun, a circus-themed bar in the Mueller neighborhood with vintage carnival ride seats and distorted mirrors. But for the South Lamar crowd, the Highball is the home base. It's free, 21 and up, and runs every Tuesday from 8 PM to 10 PM.
