The Crafty Adult: APL Pennants

The Crafty Adult is hosting a felt pennant workshop at the Terrazas Branch of the Austin Public Library on Tuesday, October 13. It runs from 6 PM to 8 PM, and the session is open to adults 18 and older. You'll spend the evening making a felt pennant with a design centered on the library's centennial.

The project is part of the Austin Public Library's Centennial Celebrations, which mark 100 years—1926 to 2026—of the library as a place of learning, connection, and possibility for the community. The pennant you make is a direct nod to that milestone, so it's a good fit if you've spent any time in the system over the years. If you've never worked with felt before, it's a forgiving material to start with, and the workshop is designed for adults, so you'll be working alongside other grown-ups rather than a mixed-age crowd.

The Terrazas Branch is located at 1105 E. César Chávez St. in Austin. The workshop runs from 6 PM to 8 PM on Tuesday, October 13, and is open to adults 18 and over.
