A Halloween-themed party with live music, DJs, vendors, and a film screening at Cheer Up Charlies.
Cheer Up Charlies is doing a Halloween party in the middle of August. It's called SUMMERWEEN, and it runs this Saturday, August 1, from 9 PM to 2 AM at 900 Red River St. The whole night is built around the Halloween theme, so you've got live music, DJs, and vendors all under one roof.
The music is split between two stages. Outside, the lineup is Maryblu, The Betty Boof, Egaux Sells, and Ethel Institution. Inside, DJ Horrorizer keeps things going. If you're not in the mood for a live set, the bar screens the 2002 movie Scooby-Doo: Spooky Island throughout the night, so you can just hang out and watch a nostalgic flick while the party happens around you.
There's also a vendor market on-site. Kush Kitty LLC, Shop Angel Spit, and Solaris the High Priestess will have booths set up, so you can browse while you're there. Between the bands, the movie, and the shopping, it's a full night rather than just a show.
