A divorced dad rock party cruise on Town Lake with live acoustic duo, open bar, and sing-alongs.
Stappy Hour is taking over Capital Cruises on Friday, September 4, for Six Feet From The Edge And I'm Cruising, a divorced dad rock party on Town Lake. The whole thing is built around a live acoustic duo playing through a set of early-2000s post-grunge anthems from Nickelback, Creed, 3 Doors Down, Hinder, and Limp Bizkit. It's billed as a sing-along, so the plan is for the crowd to belt out the choruses along with the music.
The party happens on a two-story boat with a 90-person capacity, cruising Town Lake—the Colorado River—right in downtown Austin. Along with the live music, there's an all-you-can-drink open bar and a photo op with a six-foot 'GigaChad,' a giant Chad Kroeger. The night leans into the theme: dadcore attire like knee socks, jorts, and New Balance sneakers is encouraged, and the whole thing is strictly 21+ at the door.
