STAMPEDE is back at The Highball on Friday, August 28, for another queer linedance party. It's billed as Austin's original queer line dancing night, and this one goes by the name Neon Rainbows. The whole thing runs from 8 PM to 11:55 PM, so it's a long stretch of dancing that takes you well past midnight.
If you've never been, the setup is built to get everyone on the floor. Ed West is on music, and Country Fried Dance handles the lessons. Those lessons run alongside the music, and they're beginner-friendly, so you don't need to know a single step to show up and join in. You can spend the night cycling between the two—learning a new dance and then taking it straight out onto the floor.
