Live music night featuring Commercial Breaks, Sooflay from Indiana and Late Wife at Chess Club.
Commercial Breaks are back at Chess Club on Tuesday, September 8, and they're bringing a couple of guests with them. It's a three-band bill, with Sooflay coming in from Indiana and Late Wife opening the night. The whole thing is built around the band's own description of their sound: cardboard rock n' rolletry.
If you've seen them before, you know the drill. Commercial Breaks are a regular at Chess Club, and this is another one of those nights where they're the anchor of the evening. The cardboard rock n' rolletry they talk about is exactly what they're known for, and that's what's on the bill here. It's a night that leans into their particular brand of rock, with the other two acts filling out the rest of the evening.
Sooflay is the special guest on this one, touring in from Indiana, which puts them as the out-of-town addition to the lineup. Late Wife takes the early slot, getting things started before the other two follow. It's a staggered night, so you can catch one act or hang around for all three.
