Sapphic Soirée

Sapphic Soirée is at Busty's Bar & Jukebox this Wednesday, September 9, from 8 PM to 10 PM. It's the latest edition of Sapphic Weekly ATX, a rotating lesbian bar night for the local WLW community.

The project works a bit differently than your usual regular: instead of settling into one spot, it moves among local venues. The organizers describe it as Austin's rotating lesbian bar, with each stop chosen as a welcoming, low-key place to grab a drink, meet new people, and connect with the city's WLW community. This week, that spot is Busty's.

Because it's part of a weekly series, the night is less about a specific program and more about the people who show up. It's a social gathering rather than a performance, so the draw is the crowd itself—a chance to spend a couple of hours around other queer women and non-binary folks in the city. If you've been looking for a low-pressure way to get out and meet people in the community, this is a good place to start.

It's free to attend, and you'll need to be 21+ to get in. The night runs from 8 PM to 10 PM on Wednesday, September 9, at Busty's Bar & Jukebox.
