Queergxrl is bringing an Austin Pride party to Swan Dive on Friday, August 21, with the night running from 9 PM to 2 AM. It's presented by Queergxrl Events, and they're framing the whole thing as a Pride celebration. In their own words, they "couldn't forget about" Austin, and they're inviting the crowd to "end the summer and Pride with us at Swan Dive."
That puts the party right at the tail end of the season, which fits the timing they're talking about. If you've been following the Pride celebrations around town, this is one of the later ones on the calendar, so it works as a way to cap off the summer rather than kick it off. Swan Dive is at 615 Red River Street, right in the heart of the Red River District, so it's easy to get to and surrounded by other spots if you're planning a full night out. The party is for ages 21 and over, so make sure you've got your ID on you. One practical thing to keep in mind: tickets are non-refundable, so you'll want to be sure you can make it before you commit. If you're in, the night starts at 9 PM and goes until 2 AM.
