Latin summer party with a salsa class, live salsa concert by Combo Chévere, reggaeton DJs, Puerto Rican food and rum cocktails.
Bar Hacienda is hosting ¡Pari en Rainey! on Sunday, August 9, from 5 PM to 10 PM. It's billed as a Latin summer despedida, and the whole evening is built around two things running at once: salsa and reggaeton. The organizers call it Salsa & Sazón paired with Perreo Club, and that's exactly how the night plays out.
It starts at 5 PM with a group salsa lesson led by Sam and Gerards. If you've never danced salsa before, this is the place to get your footing before the rest of the night kicks in. Once the lesson wraps, the live music takes over: Combo Chévere plays a salsa concert out on the balcony starting at 6 PM. While they're going on the balcony, DJs SuxxyPuxxy and Berbin keep the reggaeton spinning downstairs, so you can move between the live band and the dance floor as you please.
Carlos Roberto el BoriBombero hosts the evening, and the food and drinks are tied to the theme. TexaRican512 will be serving Puerto Rican food, and there's a Don Q Rum cocktail menu to go with it. Between the lesson, the live band, the DJs, the food, and the drinks, it's a full afternoon and evening in one spot.

So, here's the timeline: the salsa class starts at 5 PM, Combo Chévere takes the balcony at 6 PM, and the DJs keep the reggaeton going downstairs throughout. The whole thing runs until 10 PM at Bar Hacienda, 70 Rainey Street.
