OUTLaw Pride Fest returns to Meanwhile Brewing Co. on Thursday, August 20, with a lineup of queer country, Americana, folk, and Western music. The festival is helmed by Julie Nolen and bills itself as the first and only queer country festival in Texas. This year's bill features Rock Bottom String Band, Rebecca Patek Band, and Bad Luck Penny.
It's an all-ages event, so you can bring the kids along. Local vendors and community organizations will be on hand alongside the music, making it more of a full-day hang than just a few sets back-to-back. The festival also has a charitable side: the inaugural edition raised more than $4,000 for Out Youth, Austin's nonprofit for LGBTQ+ young people, and a portion of every ticket continues to support the community.

Between the three bands, the music covers a fair bit of ground—Americana, folk, and country all under one roof. The festival runs from 6 to 10 PM at Meanwhile Brewing Co., 3901 Promontory Point, in Austin South.
