Open Mic Night

Speakeasy is hosting its Open Mic Night tonight, Monday, September 7, at 412 Congress Ave in the Warehouse District. It's an open-mic format, so the night is built around whoever shows up to take the stage. If you're coming to perform, sign-ups start at 8:30 PM, and the show itself kicks off at 9:00 PM.

Speakeasy is a downtown Austin venue that keeps music going every night of the week, and this is just one part of that. Open Mic Mondays are the start of the rotation, followed by 80s nights on Wednesdays with The Spazmatics, 90s nights on Fridays, and Sing-Along Saturdays with The Lone Star Souvenirs. It's a spot that leans into different decades and styles throughout the week, so the vibe changes depending on when you drop in.

The venue has also been a fixture for New Year's Eve in the city, throwing a party every year since 1997. They stepped that up in 2024 with reserved seating, VIP options, DJs, and live music. Between the nightly schedule and the annual New Year's Eve tradition, it's a place that stays active well beyond just one night a week.

For tonight, the timing is what you need to keep in mind: sign-ups open at 8:30 PM, and the show starts at 9:00 PM. It's at 412 Congress Ave in the Warehouse District.
