Weekly open mic night hosted by Raul Ochoa at the Speakeasy venue in Austin's Warehouse District.
Speakeasy holds its open mic every Monday night, and this one is on October 12. It's a regular fixture for the venue, which sits at 412 Congress Avenue in the Warehouse District downtown. Raul Ochoa, who goes by @moderndaymidas, hosts the night.
If you're planning to perform, get there early. Sign-ups open at 8:30 PM, and the show kicks off at 9:00 PM. It's a free night, so you can just show up and listen without spending anything.
Speakeasy is a three-level spot in the Warehouse District with a Music Lounge, a mezzanine that looks over the stage, and a rooftop lounge terrace. The open mic is the Monday night anchor of a live music schedule that runs through the week: Tuesdays Unplugged acoustic sessions, 80s and 90s themed nights, Afrobeats, Amapiano and dancehall parties, vintage bowling, and sports watch parties. The venue has also thrown a New Year's Eve party every year since 1997, and in 2024 it added reserved seating, VIP options, DJs, and live music to the mix.
