Live country music performance by Ola at the honky-tonk venue Buddy's Place.
Ola is playing Buddy's Place on Monday, August 24, and that's just the first of three. The same set returns on Monday, August 31, and again on Monday, September 7, so if you can't make the first one, you've got two more chances to catch it.
Buddy's Place is a BYOB honky-tonk dive bar at 8619 Burnet Rd. in Midtown. It's the kind of spot that leans into small-town hospitality with a side of redneck and country, and live music isn't its main thing. On any given night, you're more likely to find the regulars dancing to the country-packed jukebox, playing shuffleboard, and hanging out than watching a stage. The bar is 21 and over, so keep that in mind before you head over.

Since Ola is playing the same date three Mondays in a row, you can pick the one that works best for your schedule. All three sessions start at 5 PM, which is early enough to make it a weekday afternoon thing rather than a late-night commitment. If you're in the Midtown area on a Monday, it's a low-stakes way to spend the early evening.
