Live country music performance by Ola at the honky-tonk venue Buddy's Place.
Ola starts a run of Monday sessions at Buddy's Place on August 31, with the first set kicking off at 5 PM. It's not a one-off: the sessions continue every Monday through September 7, 14, and 21, so if you can't make the first one, you've got three more chances over the next few weeks.
Buddy's Place is a BYOB honky-tonk dive bar at 8619 Burnet Rd. in Austin, and it's a bit of a specific kind of spot. It trades in small-town hospitality with a side of redneck and country, and live music isn't its main thing. The regulars gather there to dance to a country-packed jukebox, play shuffleboard, and enjoy the company, so the room is more of a neighborhood hangout than a dedicated music venue. It's 21 and over, and since it's BYOB, you bring your own drinks.

Having the sessions on Monday afternoons means these aren't late-night shows. They start at 5 PM, which puts them right in that gap between the workday and the evening, and they run for four consecutive Mondays: August 31, September 7, 14, and 21. If you're in the neighborhood on a Monday afternoon, it's an easy one to drop into. The venue is Buddy's Place, 8619 Burnet Rd., Austin, TX 78757, and the sessions start at 5 PM.
