OCT (On Company Time)

OCT (On Company Time) plays ACL Live at 3TEN on Friday, November 6, at 8 PM. The New York trio blends comedy and music, and the night is billed as a comedy show. They'll be joined by Billy Marchiafava.

If the name doesn't ring a bell, you might recognize the songs. OCT has a few viral hits under its belt, including "Half Horse Half Man" and "Frictionless Wipe," and Billboard recently named them one of its Top 15 Musical Comedians Right Now. The group's whole thing is that mix of music and comedy, and that's what they're bringing to the stage.

The trio comes from three very different backgrounds. Luke is a Berklee-trained musician; Vinny is a sketch comic with more than 2.5 million followers; and Peter is a creator whose work has pulled in billions of views. Luke and Peter are brothers who met at a corporate ad agency, became best friends, and turned procrastination into punchlines. That corporate origin story is where the name comes from, too—On Company Time—and it's a good shorthand for the kind of humor they do.

It's a New York act making its way down to Austin, so if you're into comedy music, this is a good one to have on your radar. The show is at ACL Live at 3TEN, 310 West Willie Nelson Boulevard, on Friday, November 6, starting at 8 PM.
