Cap City Comedy Club presents Nicole Byer

Nicole Byer is playing Capitol City Comedy Club in Austin for three nights: Friday, July 24, Saturday, July 25, and Sunday, July 26, with each show starting at 7 PM. If you've only known her as the host of Netflix's Nailed It!, this is a good chance to see her do stand-up.

Byer has a lot of ground she covers. She's an actress, comedian, writer, author, and podcaster, and Nailed It! is the thing most people recognize her from. It premiered in 2018 and made her the first Black woman nominated for Outstanding Host for a Reality or Competition Program, a nod she picked up in 2020, 2021, and 2022. Beyond that, she released her debut stand-up special, Nicole Byer: Big Beautiful Weirdo, on Netflix and stars in the NBC comedy Grand Crew. She's also an Upright Citizens Brigade alum who co-created the web series Pursuit of Sexiness with Sasheer Zamata.

Her writing goes beyond the screen, too. Her book, #VERYFAT #VERYBRAVE, came out in June 2020. And she's a heavy presence in podcasting: she hosts the award-winning Why Won't You Date Me?, which took home the 2021 iHeart Radio award for best Female Host, and co-hosts Best Friends with Sasheer Zamata, Newcomers with Lauren Lapkus, and 90 Day Bae with Marcy Jarreau. Between the stand-up, the TV, the books, and the podcasts, there's a lot of work behind the name.
