Motown Monday night at The Highball featuring The Matchmakers Band, with a dance lesson before the show.
The Matchmakers Band take the stage at The Highball on Monday, August 3, for another Motown Monday. It's one of the venue's long-running staples: every first Monday of the month, The Highball dedicates the night to Motown, and this time the Matchmakers are the ones leading the charge.
The night starts with a dance lesson from 7:30 PM to 8:30 PM, so if you've never danced to this kind of music before, you can get your footing before the actual show kicks off. The band takes over at 8:30 PM and plays through 11 PM, with doors opening at 8 PM. The set is built around full-band versions of Motown classics, but they also work in their own takes on more modern hits, so it's not just a trip back to the sixties.
