Concert by acclaimed Americana songwriter Mike Stinson at the South Austin honky-tonk venue Sam's Town Point.
Mike Stinson plays Sam's Town Point on Saturday, July 25, at 8:30 PM. He's an Americana songwriter from Cashville, Virginia, and this is a solo bill—just him on stage.
If you haven't heard of the venue, it's a South Austin honky-tonk that's been serving ice-cold beer and live music since 1981. It runs shows both inside and out, and it's tucked away in a wooded neighborhood beyond Slaughter and Manchaca, far enough off the beaten path to be called the 'South Pole of Austin's musical axis.' It's one of the city's least visible spots, and it's been emerging as a happening scene lately.

Stinson comes from Cashville, Virginia, and works in the Americana tradition—songs built around songwriting and storytelling. He'll be the only act on the bill, so the whole night is his. The show starts at 8:30 PM at Sam's Town Point, 2115 Allred Dr, Austin, TX 78748.
