Kate Nuelle and Dawson Turner are releasing their shared photography book, Me and You and Everyone We Know, at The Future Front House on Thursday, September 24. The launch sits right at the intersection of East Austin's visual arts and book scenes, and it's a project that comes from two photographers who also happen to be partners.
Turner is a Future Front artist-in-residence, and the book draws on the early days of their relationship—the kind of period filled with forgotten foreshadowing and moments that only really make sense in hindsight. The pages gather candid vignettes, casual portraits, and mid-20s still lifes that trace a contemporary, Slacker-esque scene: tables overflowing with conversation and the city glowing with creative energy. It's a look at a specific time and place, the kind of thing that feels small and personal until you see it all together.
