Magenta Wave are making their Austin debut at The 13th Floor on Friday, September 25, as part of their Silence Fuels the Fire tour. It's their first time playing the city, and they're coming in from Seattle, where they've built their name as a rock band known for emotionally charged vocal melodies and evocative guitar solos. The set is built around the Silence Fuels the Fire tour, so you'll hear the material they're taking across the country.
If you're not familiar with them, they're a Seattle-based rock outfit that leans into the more melodic side of the genre. The vocals carry a lot of the emotional weight, and the guitar solos are meant to be evocative rather than just technical. It's the kind of sound that works well in a room where you can actually hear the details, and since this is their first Austin date, it's the first chance to catch them here.
The venue is The 13th Floor, a bar and music venue at 711 Red River Street in downtown Austin. It takes its name from the 13th Floor Elevators, the psychedelic icons of the 1960s, and its mission is to preserve local legends and nurture the art and music community that makes the city unique. They've also made access for people with disabilities a stated priority, so it's a space that keeps that in mind.
