Magdalena Bay performs live at the Holiday Hootenanny, an annual Austin music festival featuring independent acts, holiday market, and festive attractions.
Magdalena Bay are playing Radio/East on Friday, December 11, as part of the 2026 Holiday Hootenanny. It's a two-day run, December 11 and 12, with the festival taking over the venue for a full weekend of music. The whole thing is put on by Resound Presents and Austin concert photographer Pooneh Ghana, who also partners with Todo Records.
This is the third year for Holiday Hootenanny, an annual Austin celebration that serves as a final party before the holidays. The idea is to bring together over twenty national and local acts with no overlapping sets, so you can catch multiple bands without having to choose between them. This year's edition is built around nostalgia: Friday is rooted in soul and rock, and Saturday shifts toward post-Y2K vibes.
Magdalena Bay shares the bill with Thundercat, 54 Ultra, Frost Children, The Two Lips, Coco & Clair Clair, Drugdealer, Sports, Hannah Cohen, Avalon Emerson & the Charm, Gelli Haha, James K, Twen, Mini Trees, Quiet Light, Chinese American Bear, and Rockie Rode. It's a long list, and because the sets don't overlap, you can actually work your way through a good chunk of it.
