Drive-thru metal comedy show by Mac Sabbath, a band of clowns performing Black Sabbath music with fast food lyrics.
Mac Sabbath play Come and Take It Live on Wednesday, October 21, with Clownvis opening. It's a stop on their headlining fall 2026 US tour, which follows a spring run through Florida and comes before a tour with GWAR. The Austin date is part of that larger stretch across the country.
If you've never heard of them, Mac Sabbath is a drive-thru metal act led by a disturbed clown named Ronald Osborne, who claims he came through a wormhole in space-time straight from 1970. The story goes that Osborne stumbled upon the band while working at a fast-food franchise in Chatsworth, California, where delinquent employees had been staging secret rock shows in the restaurant basements. The cast of characters includes Slayer Mac Cheeze, Grimalice, and the Cat Burglar, and the whole thing is signed off by Mike Odd.
On stage, they fuse Black Sabbath's music with fast-food-themed lyrics and a matching stage show. You'll see a giant purple gumdrop playing bass and a Tony Iommi sporting a giant cheeseburger head. It's a full-on costume act that plays the Black Sabbath catalog with the lyrics rewritten to be about drive-thrus and fast food, so the whole thing leans as much into the comedy as the metal. Clownvis opens the night, and the two acts together keep the clown theme going from start to finish.
