Concert by the psych-rock band Kontravoid, featuring Max Fry and Buzz Kull, as part of the LEVITATION festival in Austin.
Kontravoid plays Elysium on Thursday, September 10, with Max Fry and Buzz Kull opening. It's a late-night bill, with the music starting at 9 PM.
The show is part of LEVITATION, which returns to Austin from September 10 to 13, 2026. Over those four days, the festival spreads music and art across the Red River District, East Side venues, and other spots around the city. Radio/East serves as the central hub, this year with an expanded two-stage layout, while the late-night and club shows continue along Red River and throughout town. Over the last decade, the festival has built a reputation for lineups that span psych, dream pop, punk, indie, metal, darkwave, and electronic—described as a beloved record collection manifested as a four-day weekend, with vintage gear, immersive light shows and visuals, and moody synths.
Kontravoid headlines this particular night, with Max Fry and Buzz Kull on the bill before them. If you're only coming for this one, it's a single show on the festival's opening night. If you want more, there are single-show tickets for more than 20 announced shows, or a 4-Day Pass that covers the whole thing. There's also a secret Sunday headliner yet to be announced.
