Live music night featuring Killer Kaya, Fifi Knifefight, and Chancla Fight Club at Valhalla; free entry with donations, 21 and up.
Killer Kaya headline a three-band bill at Valhalla on Wednesday, October 7, with Chancla Fight Club and Fifi Knifefight opening. The night runs from 9 PM to midnight, and it's a 21+ show.
Killer Kaya are a psychedelic rock and funk band from Goleta, California. They describe themselves as being "primarily fueled by cats, love, and Tecate," and they make both music and molecules. Their sound pulls in blues and reggae alongside the psych-rock and funk, so it's a bit of a reach across a few different styles rather than sticking to one. They're the headliner here, taking the late slot of the night.
The bill builds throughout the evening. Chancla Fight Club kicks things off at 9 PM, followed by Fifi Knifefight at 10 PM, with Killer Kaya taking over at 11 PM. If you're only coming for the headliner, you've got a couple of hours to hang out before they hit the stage.
