Live music night featuring Keyke, Spatial Dimensions, and Goth Dylan at the Sahara Lounge in East Austin.
Keyke, Spatial Dimensions, and Goth Dylan play Sahara Lounge on Wednesday, August 26, with the music running from 8 PM to 11:30 PM. It's a three-act bill, and the sets follow one after another: Keyke opens at 8 PM, Spatial Dimensions takes over at 9 PM, and Goth Dylan closes things out at 10 PM.
Sahara Lounge is a laid-back music dive in rural East Austin that opened in 2011 when the beloved BYO-liquor roadhouse T.C.'s Lounge retired. The venue kept much of the old building, adopting a vaguely African theme and fencing in a back patio, while holding onto its big unpaved parking lot and a tiny corner stage. With a capacity of 150, it books rock, funk, Afro-jazz, hip-hop, country, Brazilian and garage rock seven nights a week. It's the kind of place that feels more like a neighborhood spot than a formal venue, and the small stage keeps the music close.
Because it's a three-act night, you've got a few ways to play it. If you want the whole run, you're in for over three hours of music. If you're only around for part of the evening, you can catch Keyke at 8, Spatial Dimensions at 9, or Goth Dylan at 10. The music runs until 11:30 PM, so there's plenty of room to hang out between sets. It's a Wednesday night, so it's a mid-week outing rather than a weekend binge.
