Jazz vocalist Kenny Williams performs at the Parker Jazz Club, with proceeds benefiting the Texas Jazz Society.
Kenny Williams plays the Parker Jazz Club on Thursday, September 10, at 7:30 PM. It's a jazz vocal set from an Austin native who's spent the last 25 years working both here and abroad, and the proceeds from the night go to the Texas Jazz Society, a local nonprofit.
Williams' career has taken him quite a distance from the city. He spent nearly a decade on Broadway in New York City, where he made his debut in Disney's The Lion King. Before that, he studied voice at the University of Texas and cut his teeth as an actor and entertainer in the clubs of 6th Street and at ZACH Theatre. This show brings him back to the local stage he started on, with the set built around his voice.

If you can't make it in person, the show is available via livestream at parkerjazzclub.com/livestream. All proceeds from the night benefit the Texas Jazz Society, so the ticket price does double duty as a donation to the local jazz community. The Parker Jazz Club is a 21+ venue, and tickets are $15 and $45.
