Jimmy O. Yang Has No Friends Tour

Jimmy O. Yang brings his Has No Friends tour to ACL Live at The Moody Theater on Saturday, January 30, 2027. It's a stand-up comedy show, and Yang is the sole bill for the night.

If you recognize the name but can't quite place the face, you've probably seen him on screen. He played Jian-Yang on HBO's Emmy-winning Silicon Valley, and he's popped up in Crazy Rich Asians, Love Hard, and Space Force, where he also worked as a writer. More recently, he starred in Hulu's Interior Chinatown, directed by Academy Award winner Taika Waititi and written by Charles Yu, and he'll next appear in Netflix's The Roman, executive produced by Martin Scorsese and Oscar Isaac. He's also a bestselling author; his memoir, How to American: An Immigrant's Guide to Disappointing Your Parents, is a good place to get a sense of the perspective he brings to the stage.

That perspective is rooted in a pretty specific background: born in Hong Kong and raised in Los Angeles since age 13, he speaks English, Mandarin, Cantonese, and Shanghainese. The Has No Friends tour follows his Big & Tall tour and runs across the United States and Canada from January through May, opening with back-to-back nights at Tampa's Funny Bone and wrapping with two shows at Encore Theater at Wynn Las Vegas. Austin is one of the stops along that stretch.

It's a single-night engagement at ACL Live at The Moody Theater, with the show starting at 7 PM on Saturday, January 30.
